TODOS SANTOS
DOWNTOWN
While everything is within a 15 minute walk, streets go from paved to cobblestone and sandy…so if you’re wearing heels add 10 minutes and maybe a stop at St Judes for a twisted ankle.
Bus Stop’s vibes are eerily similar to Sugar Shack in Pescadero.
Arguably the best bakery in Pescadero, some say all of Todos Santos. But it’s like ice cream, there’s room for everyone at this party.
All day cafe serving everything from omelettes and burgers to tacos and traditional Mexican dishes.
100 Pesos and you get a sandwich that is so delicious and good for two meals! Which is good cause they’re only in Todos one day a week.
Cafelix has been on the scene for more than a decade with solid coffee drinks, juices, brunch favorites and classic Baja fare.
There’s the inside raw bar where we hid in air-conditioning most of the summer day-drinking and slurping oysters. And now the garden that we can only describe as what we imagine Alice in Wonderland’s tea party to have looked like. Except instead of tea and nutty storybook characters at the table, it’s a perfect place to meet friends for #everydayisSunday brunch vibes.
A sweet little coffee shop tucked into the back of Plaza Amigos with a sweet little cat to greet you.
The Sky Lounge is a hidden gem, in plain sight. It’s a mellow vibe with a lap pool and incredible sunset views over the palm trees of the ocean
A new spot with ocean views from the center of town for lunch, incredible sunsets, and a truly fun hang in the evening.
This local gem is both romantic, good to chill and chat with friends, and dine solo…how is that possible? We don’t know, but just go with it.
Live Music, locally-made small-batch brews, burgers and trivia night!
Keep the blender in the cupboard for happy hour margs and head over for a pick-me-up smoothie or Acai Bowl from this good vibes crew.
Unassuming and incredibly delicious, this spot is open 6 days a week morning to night. They’ve recently started live music on Friday evenings as well!
DOWNTOWN ADJACENT
Hard to say what you think adjacent is, this is our best guess and generally means it’s under 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes walking from downtown.
Tiki is a simple bar with a sand floor, football on the TV, dogs wandering about, incredible cocktails, lovely staff and the freshest catch that goes into aguachile and ceviche that you won’t be able to stop eating.
This place is pretty special. It’s essentially a palm forest with a hidden pool club and food from the beloved former chef of Chez Laura. Live music, Instagram-worthy design, and gorgeous plating make this a solid special occasion move to impress
While they await their new space, the team is hosting you from their home. And while we suspect they want their house back, it makes their home cooking even more special.
New to Todos? Go here. You’ll run into other digital nomads, recent transplants and expats looking for coffee, smoothies, and strong WIFI. Wednesdays is the farmers & crafts market, afternoons are for live music…we suggest ordering before the yoga class next door ends, otherwise prepare for a bit of a wait.
The sunsets here are the main draw, but the wine list is solid and the Italian fare ranges from solid to distractingly good.
Some of the best ceviche and seafood in Baja Sur, served under a palapa roof in a off the beaten track location.
Expat sports bar known for their ribs, burgers, wings and pizza.
The vibe changes from digital nomads during the day on laptops, to happy hour with a great selection of wines and beers in the afternoons.
Otro Lado
This area outside of town is best accessed by car & includes neighborhoods Las Tunas, Las Brisas, La Cachora & San Sebastien.
This traditional French cafe is the brainchild of Estelle, Florent and their neighbor in Plaza Amigos Bernard, who have combined their incredible cooking into one beautiful location.
Poke bowls, twinkly lights and live music has this place bumping in Otro Lado 6 nights a week.
Female-owned restaurant, they feature healthy bowls and an eat-your-veggies kind of vibe.
Super fresh fish in a laid back spot, with live music on Friday afternoons…just what you need to start the weekend early.
A place that has Japanese, Mexican, & American dishes on an all-day menu usually gives us pause, but this neighborhood hang is really good.
Chef Landi had been a mainstay in Todos Santos for more than a decade, and has helped to define what Baja cuisine is today.
This same crew is behind La Popular and Dum Todos Santos, so their hospitality and service is on point, and the tacos are made by exceptionally talented women who make classics, as well as a few with a twist. The burgers and hot dogs are also faves…
Beautiful, delicious and a great breakfast hang with its own organic farm, casitas for rent, and special dinner events.
BEACH PROXIMITY
This section highlights parts of Todos Santos, Pescadero and Cerritos…You’ll need a car to get to these spots which vary from 10-15 minutes outside of downtown, but you’re close enough to dip your toes in the ocean.
“Munchies” is that spot to hit when you just needed a snack or something to drink…except that it is SUPER!
About as Baja as Baja gets; from the beach-adjacent location to sand under your toes, strong drinks in hand, great tunes and a simply killer menu of tacos and ceviche.
Hip spot to catch the sunset with craft cocktails while watching the local fisherman come in with their catch of the day.
The main event here is the pool, beach cabanas, and drinks with friends to lull you into a late afternoon nap as the waves serenade you.
There’s beachfront, and then there’s Green Room that sits ON the beach.
PESCADERO
You’ll notice our directions to Pescadero all start the same way…and there’s a reason as Pescadero pops up rather quickly and people speed through. So when the speed limit reduces to 40 or 60km coming from Todos, heed the advice! Pescadero is not a place to speed through, for so many reasons.
